Abstract: The invention relates to a fluidized-bed scrubber containing fluidizingbodies for purifying gases and to processes for its operation. The invention enables the fluidized-bed scrubber to be dimensioned, and the processes to be carried out, in such a manner that the number of fluidizing bodies is minimized and as much energy as possible is saved, without this decreasing the purifying efficiency.
