    Abstract: Biosensor system and method for the electrochemical determination of an analyte in a sample. An analyte reactant is mixed with the sample to form a reaction liquid which is contacted to electrodes for measurement of an analy te detection current. The analyte detection current is characteristic of the analyte concentration in the sample by virtue of a reaction sequence comprising an analyte specific reaction taking place in the reaction liquid and an electrode reaction including transfer of electrons through an electro de surface. A plurality of values of a curve of the analyte detection current versus time is measured and the analyte concentration is derived therefrom b y means of an evaluation algorithm. Fast results of high accuracy are achieved in that the DC-voltage is applied to the electrodes during the analyte- specific reaction whereby the analyte-specific reaction and the electrode reaction take place simultaneously resulting in an analyte detection current versus time curve which comprises a section in which the current rises versu s time and the analyte detection current is measured at at least two points of time in the rising section and the values of the analyte detection current resulting from said at least two measurements are used in the evaluation algorithm for temperature error compensation.

    Abstract: Sistema de biosensor (1), para la determinación electroquímica de una analito en una muestra, comprendiendo, el sistema, un reactivo de analito y por lo menos dos electrodos (9, 10), en donde, el sistema, se encuentra adaptado para - mezclar el reactivo de analito, con la muestra, para formar un líquido de reacción y, - conectar el líquido de reacción a los electrodos, para realizar la medición de una corriente de detección de analito, que fluye entre los electrodos, como respuesta a un voltaje DC aplicado a éstos, siendo, la corriente de detección del analito, característica de la concentración de analito en la muestra, en virtud de una secuencia de reacción que comprende una reacción específica del analito, que tiene lugar en el líquido de reacción, y una reacción de electrodos, que incluye la transferencia de electrones a través de una superficie de electrodos y un circuito electrónico (20), que comprende una fuente de voltaje DC, para aplicar el voltaje DC requerido a los electrodos y dispositivos electrónicos de medición y de evaluación (29, 30), para medir una pluralidad de valores de una curva de la corriente de detección del analito versus tiempo, durante una pluralidad de tiempos de medición, y para derivar la concentración de analito a partir de éstos, por mediación de un algoritmo de evaluación, caracterizado por el hecho de que, el circuito electrónico, se encuentra adaptado para la aplicación del voltaje DC a los electrodos, durante la reacción específica del analito, a cuyo efecto, la reacción específica del analito y la reacción de electrodos, tiene lugar de una forma simultánea, dando como resultado una corriente de detección del analito versus curva de tiempo, que comprende una sección, en la cual, la corriente sube con respecto al tiempo, y - la medición de la corriente de detección del analito, en por lo menos dos puntos del tiempo, en la sección creciente, - la utilización de los valores de la corriente de detección del analito, resultantes de las citadas por lo menos dos mediciones en el algoritmo de evaluación para la compensación de errores de temperatura.
