Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide systems, server side computing devices, and methods for accessing medical devices for providing remote access to medical devices and/or remotely accessing medical devices. SOLUTION: A first computing device includes: a memory having a plurality of instructions; and a network interface communicating with a second computing device through a network. A protocol component causes the second computing device to communicate with the medical device, and also causes the medical device to adjust a built-in clock, clear the stored measurement data, retrieve the stored measurement data, update a calibration parameter used for acquiring the measurement data or another parameter, and carry out a test for acquiring the measurement data or another task. Abstract:
A system and method for performing database synchronization between a first database of a first device and a second database of a second device is disclosed. The first database stores medical records having non-time based counter values associated thereto. The second database stores medical records having timestamps associated thereto. The first device includes a first database synchronization module that maintains a last timestamp indicating a last medical record that was received from the second device. The first database synchronization module transmits, to the second device, a request for synchronization and the last timestamp. The second device includes a second database synchronization module that maintains a last counter value indicative of a last medical record that was received from the first device, and that transmits, to the first device, a second request for synchronization and the last counter value.
Abstract:
A method of displaying medical data for at least one patient allows the data to be displayed in graphical format as either a trend graph or a histogram. The data may be sorted based upon a selected event. The trend graph may include a line representing the event, and the data on the graph may be plotted on the graph for specific periods before and after the event. When the data is displayed as a histogram, the data prior to the event is represented by one type of bars, and the data after the event is represented by another type of bars. The selected event, and the type of data displayed on the graph may be altered.
Abstract:
A system and method for enhanced data transfer are disclosed, the method being applicable to a system comprising a computing device configured to transfer data from a portable device. In one embodiment, the computing device stores a fingerprint of the newest record downloaded from a portable device and stops downloading records from the device when a downloaded record matches the fingerprint. In another embodiment, the computing device stores a fingerprint of the newest record downloaded from a portable device and fully processes records that are downloaded from the device after a downloaded record matches the fingerprint. The system may include a portable device configured to adapt its operation responsive to a system fingerprint provided by the computing device. The portable device may be a medical device. The system may be a healthcare data management system.
Abstract:
A medical data receiver configured to wirelessly receive medical data via a signal and having an externally perceptible indicator of signal reception.
Abstract:
Abstract:
Systems, client computing devices, server computing devices, and methods are disclosed for accessing medical devices, providing remote access to medical devices and/or remotely accessing medical devices. In one exemplary embodiment, client computing devices utilize protocol components that may be obtained from a server computing device via a network to communicate with medical devices in a communications protocol supported by the medical device.
