Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a multifocal point lens in which a light to each focal point, that is, light intensity to each diffraction sequence can be arbitrarily controlled uniformly or non-uniformly. CONSTITUTION: In a three focal point diffraction lens 20 which receives an incident light having a central wavelength λ, and limits three focal points, plural optical high positions and optical low positions are provided on the diffraction surface. Then, a difference between the highest optical high position and the lowest optical low position is substantially different from λ/2, and at least 20% of the incident light of the lens 20 can reach each focal point.
