Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a blind having beautiful appearance at a low cost by mounting a fabric sheet on vanes vertically suspended from the upper part of a window, at the same time, forming the vanes from the same material as the fabric sheet and rotating the vanes to adjust quantity of light. CONSTITUTION: A translucent or transparent sheet 60 is mounted on vanes 56 mounted on a plurality of rotary shafts 70 vertically suspended to a head rail 62 of a window. The vanes 56 are formed from the same material as the fabric sheet 60 infiltrating reinforced material into it to stick it thereon in two layers and giving a certain measure of rigidity formed in the shape of a narrow plate. The vanes can be formed from plastic, aluminum or the like, if necessary. The vanes 56 are rotated in the horizontal direction by an operation code 82, and a passing amount of light is adjusted. This method can be also applied to a horizontal blind. By the constitution, a good looking blind can be obtained at a low cost.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain an aesthetic effect through the control of light transmission by movably securing the inside surface of a sheet along the attaching line of blade plate, and permitting blade plates to rotate about an axis between a position of the sheet closed and a position opened perpendicularly. CONSTITUTION: Flat rigid blade plates 12 are disposed in contiguity with the inside of a cloth sheet 14. In the next place, the inside face of the cloth sheet 14 is movably fastened along the securing line of the blade plates 12. Following this, the blade plate 12 is rotated through the operation of a pulling chain 28 about an axis 26 between a closing position being in substantially parallel with the cloth sheet 14 and a position being substantially perpendicular therewith. Subsequently, the blade plate 12 is rotated unit it becomes extendible to the sheet 4 in parallel. Furthermore, the sheet 14 is moved between an open position of the sheet 14 and one of two close position. Thus, forming a window shielding body of an aesthetic effect by making adjustment for controlling light passage and reducing manufacturing cost.
