Abstract: Disclosed is a control mechanism and device for conditioning a typewriter to backspace on every other depression of a keylever and at the same time to prevent printing on all depressions of keylevers. Additionally, the typewriter is conditioned to not print on those cycles in which a backspace movement is not included.
