Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for executing statement in a computer for operating data in a data store connected to a computer. SOLUTION: At first, statement having an aggregate predicate is received. Afterwards, at the time of evaluating the statement, the aggregate predicate is processed so that rank data can be prepared. Moreover, the evaluation includes the execution of an extended sort operator having an early termination.
