Abstract: A transducer assembly includes a slider (11) having a reduced height leading portion (12) that provides for gimballed connection to a suspension load beam (30) and a full height rear portion for the transducer coil windings (21). The transducer assembly is supported by a suspension which includes a single piece combined gram form and load beam (30) with the entire head-suspension assembly being contained within the height of the full height portion of the slider so as to minimise the overall height of the head-suspension assembly.
