Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a method and a device for controlling the display position of entry field data in a prescribed computer work station by processing a key stroke operation without the participation of a host processor connected to the work station in a work station control interface. CONSTITUTION: In these method and device, entry fields are displayed on a work station display screen, a single entry field is formed so as to be provided with a selectively positionable segment on the screen, the respective segments are linked for a processing and as a result, entry field change performed in an optional segment processes all the segments so as to house the change as a result. The method and device are executed in a system provided with the host processor, at least one work station control interface and the plural work stations.
