Abstract:
It is determined whether a location of a mobile device is within a coverage region of a first information service. Communications for the first information service are redirected to a second information service when the location of the mobile device is not within a coverage region of the first information service. The second information service generally has a coverage region encompassing the location of the mobile device. Communications between the mobile device and the first information service are redirected to a new information service when properties of the new information service are determined to meet predetermined criteria set by a user of the mobile device, by an application, or both. In yet another aspect of the invention, replacement of information services can be “aggressive” or “non-aggressive.” Communications between the mobile device and an original information service are redirected to another information service when the original information service fails.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for supporting the operation of a mobile device in a disconnection mode by an on-line service by providing a service by on-line, and preparing the menu of the service and a related form in a format suitable for the off-line operation by a company. SOLUTION: A mobile application 300 is constituted of three modules, that is, a user interface(UI) 310 module, a message formatter(MF) 320, and a message communicator(MC) 300. The UI310 is used for collecting inputs from a user, and for displaying an output message to the user. The MF320 formats the user input into a message suitable for being transmitted through a communicating medium, and converts the message received from the communicating medium into a format suitable for presentation to the user. The MC 300 transmits and receives the message through a network.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method by which the user of a mobile device can execute a complicated job transaction at a cut mode by not transmitting actual corrected data but transmitting an operation executed on data. SOLUTION: A mobile application 300 constitutes a request message and the message is transferred to MAC 402. MAC 402 accumulates the request message from the mobile application and holds it in an operation log 403. The accumulated message is sent to RAC 407 when a user establishes connection to a remote computer. RAC 407 route-designates the individual messages to corresponding remote applications 410A-410N. The remote applications 410A-410N process a request, returns a response to RAC 407 and RAC 407 maintain the response in a response log. The responses are sent to MAC 402 at next connection time.
Abstract:
Most online services are not geared to support disconnected mode of operation of a mobile device. This invention describes a method to make online services available to mobile users in disconnected mode by exchanging structured electronic messages. Such as a system can be used to build a custom service by combining service offerings from different service providers, and transmit the same to a personal agent an intermediary who would then provide the customized service.

Abstract:

Abstract:
A mobile end-user selects a number of required services provided by individual service providers and prepares a composite request for these services. The composite request is transmitted to an agent program running on a remote server for execution. The method allows a mobile user to access online services in disconnected mode. In the embodiment the mobile user builds a custom request to fetch a report, print it and deliver it to a third party. The mobile user selects the services of three individual service providers which are offered in the form of eEnvelopes. The mobile user prepares a further eEnvelope containing the selected eEnvelopes and instructions to and address of a personal enterprise agent on a remote server. The mobile sends the eEnvelope to the agent thus contracting out the administrative and coordination responsibilities.
