Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the number of datagrams as little as possible and to increase data to be packed in respective datagrams as much as possible by sampling a data record out of a sequence order through a means for packing the data record into the datagram at the time of allocating the data record to the datagram. SOLUTION: A data access device 102 dispatches data to be transmitted from a storage device 101 to a data record forming device 103. The data record forming device 103 divides the data into data records in various sizes and sends them to a data packing device 104. The data packing device 104 allocates maximum non-allocated data records in a usable space to the first datagram while concentrating them to the first datagram for allocating the data records when the usable space in the first datagram is equal to or layer than that for the minimum data record not allocated to the datagram yet.

Abstract: A data communications apparatus connected to a network through which datagrams flow from the data communications apparatus to at least one other data communications apparatus also connected to the network, the apparatus having: a means for receiving data which is to be transmitted over the network, such data being broken up into data records; and a means for packing the data records into datagrams for transmission over the network, including a means for assigning data records to datagrams; wherein the means for packing takes the data records out of sequential order when assigning data records to datagrams.
