Abstract: PURPOSE: To support a mouse by a subordinate and improgrammable character- base work station terminal(DWS). CONSTITUTION: A terminal control device in the DWS 100 processes and displays perfectly the movement of the mouse, but it sends the operation of a mouse button together with the present position of the mouse to a single work station control device(WSC) 200 handling the many DWSs 100. The WSC 200 processes that operation in conformity to the set of a rule, and sends a data stream to a main processor(MP) 310 holding plural WSCs 200. The MP 310 executes the application program 410 of a user while answering partially to the data stream to express a mouse event. The MP 310 sends the set of the rule of the mouse to the WSC 200 by the data stream as well.
