Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically adjust the limit of a named range for adding a new element (row, column or sheet) within a named range of a spreadsheet. SOLUTION: This method is provided with a step for defining an open named range by designating one or plural open directions to the named range and a step for defining a hidden range with name having a cell address range expanding the open named range just for one address in all the designated open directions. Further, the method is provided with a step for selecting one or plural directions, a step for increasing the cell address range of the hidden named range by inserting a new address in the selected direction between two continuous cell addresses and a step for updating the open named range by shortening the open range with name just for one address in all the designated open directions.
