Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain detail information related with a part interested by a user in web contents without making it necessary for a user to operate any clear input. SOLUTION: In an information extracting system equipped with a server and a client connected through a communication network, the server provides a data file to be offered for reading to the client, and the client is provided with a browser for displaying the contents of the data file received from the server through the communication network, an operation event analyzing part 20 for detecting a preliminarily decided specific operation based on an input operation performed by a user at the time of reading the contents of the data file displayed by the browser, and a text extracting part 30 for extracting information displayed at the place where the specific operation is performed on the display screen of the browser detected by the operation event analyzing part 20.
