Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure an execution period for specific operation which is carried out when a processing request of a slave system is not executed by allowing a host system to send a pair of a preparation signal and an execution signal to the slave system at a certain interval and then allowing the slave system to judge the execution of the specific operation by calculating an estimated time needed to process the processing request by using the two signals. SOLUTION: When a data analysis and print data generation part 159 judges that data received from a job spool control part 157 are data other than data for printing such as command data, a time difference job signal detection part 161 inspects the data and instructs an independent timer measuring mechanism 171 to execute specific interruption when judging that the data are in a format corresponding to a time difference job signal. A specific function operation judgement and control part 163 inquires of a job process state monitor part 173, etc., to detect that a printer 150 is in specific conditions and instruct a specific function operation mechanism 165 to execute a specific function.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize reprint operation from a preferable page at the time of recovering from an error in a printer, e.g. incomplete sheet carriage, and resuming print operation. SOLUTION: The print system comprises a printer 10, and a jam recovery user interface section 30 connected with the printer and delivering a specified designation wherein the printer 10 comprises a data analyzing section 13 for developing print data 9 into a bit map image, a section 14 for storing the data developed into bit image based on the identification information of each page, and a section 20 for printing the bit map image onto a medium, and the jam recovery user interface section 30 comprises a section 32 for displaying the bit map image outputted from the printer 10, and a recovery object page designating section 33 for accepting a designation from a user and delivering the identification information corresponding to a designated page to the printer 10.
