Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new antenna for a lap-top computer. SOLUTION: An antenna 11b is assembled in a lap-top computer 116 to improve the efficiency for radio frequency transmission, convenience and rigidity. The antenna 110 is extended from a cover 114 of the lap-top computer to obtain a highest efficiency in case of the use, and the antenna 110 is retracted for rigidity and convenience when not in use. Since the antenna 110 is a multiple mode antenna, efficient transmission reception is attained for plural frequency ranges. The multiple mode antenna is made up of plural segments in matching with a single termination circuit for transmission reception at various frequencies.
