Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tab control which can attain the optimum use of the smallest display screen and also can change its size by displaying all tab icons only of a non-seleted area among those subsets and accordingly displaying a control which is used to perform switching among plural display areas in a display system. SOLUTION: A relative display area 80 is prepared together with a tab bar display area 811 which includes the tabs 801, 802, 807 and 809. A selected tab has a size where its label and icon are displayed in its frame. When the tab is selected by tapping it by means of a stylus, the display area that is currently shown on a screen is eliminated and the tab related to the display area has a reduced size so as to display only the relative tab icon. Then a selected display area is shown on a screen.
