Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automated system for identifying an EUT by using an RPC sequence recorded on a server. SOLUTION: These method and system are explained, in order to perform end user transaction recognition based on server data such as the sequence of remote procedure calls(RPC). The method may include a machine learning method for pattern identification, such as Bayesian classification for segmenting the RPC sequence, a function-extracting mechanism and a dynamic programming approach. The method desirably includes a learning engine and an operation engine. The learning engine may include a data preparation subsystem (function extraction) and a Bayesian network learning subsystem (model construction). The operation engine may include transaction segmentation and a transaction classification subsystem.
