Abstract: An information aggregation and management system and method having selective "drill-down" capabilities and employing an Object-Action Navigation methodology. A user first selects an object of interest, and then selects on e or more actions to perform on said selected object. An informational object may be selected from a Context Pane, and then an available action for that object may be selected from execution. A Content Pane displays the results o f the actions on the object or objects. The user may rearrange, summarize, maximize, filter and sort information for display to effectively manage display area and minimize operations necessary to obtain information and analysis of interest.

Abstract: Bei einem Verfahren zum Steuern des Zugriffs auf ein verschlüsseltes Dokument empfängt ein Computer eine Anforderung auf Zugriff auf das verschlüsselte Dokument, wobei die Zugriffsanforderung eine Benutzer-ID und ein Benutzerkennwort umfasst. Der Computer führt an dem Benutzerkennwort eine Einweg-Hash-Funktion durch, um einen Hash-Wert zu erzeugen. Der Computer durchsucht eine Zugriffskontrolltabelle nach dem Hash-Wert, der eine Berechtigung des Benutzers anzeigt, auf das verschlüsselte Dokument zuzugreifen, und entspricht einem Dokumentkennwort, das mit dem Benutzerkennwort verschlüsselt ist. Der Computer entschlüsselt mithilfe des Benutzerkennworts das Dokumentkennwort. Der Computer entschlüsselt mithilfe des entschlüsselten Dokumentkennworts das verschlüsselte Dokument.

Abstract: In a method for controlling access to an encrypted document, a computer receives a request to access the encrypted document, the access request comprising a user ID and a user password. The computer performs a one-way hash function on the user password to generate a hash value. The computer searches an access control table for the hash value which indicates an authorization for the user to access the encrypted document and corresponds to a document password encrypted with the user password. The computer decrypts the document password using the user password. The computer decrypts the encrypted document using the decrypted document password.
