Abstract:
A data hiding method for hiding message data in media data and a data extracting method for extracting message data hidden in the media data. In the data hiding method, the message data are dispersedly hidden in the media data so that no third person can alter the message data. Specifically, the array elements of a message array are dispersedly hidden in a media array based on a status value S designating a specific array element in the media array when the media data and message data are expressed as the media array and the message array, respectively. The hiding method includes (a) a step of determining the j-th (j≥0) status value Sj, (b) a step of determining the (j+1)-th status value Sj+1 based on the value Sj, the array element of the media array designated by the value Sj and the above-mentioned array element of the message array, and (c) a step of hiding data to be hidden in the array element of the media array designated by the value Sj+1.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retrieve and/or rank a document in a database. SOLUTION: This retrieving/ranking forms a document matrix including numerical data to be obtained from attribute data, forms covariance matrix from a document matrix, calculates the fixed value of the covariance matrix by using a neutral network algorithm, calculates the inner product of a characteristics vector to judge the convergence of a sum S, decides the final set of the characteristics vector, applies the set of the obtained characteristics vector to the resolution of a characteristics value, lowers the dimension of a matrix V by using a prescribed number of characteristics vector included in the matrix V and including the characteristics vector corresponding to the largest characteristics value, and lowers the dimension of the document matrix by using the matrix V the dimension of which is lowered.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retrieve and/or rank a document including attribute data in a database to which the document is added. SOLUTION: This method includes a step where a document matrix D including numeral elements derived from attribute data is generated from the document, a step where a covariance matrix K is formed from the document matrix D, a step where the covariance matrix K is decomposed into characteristic values, a step where the dimensions of a matrix V are decreased by using a specific number of characteristic vectors included in the matrix V and including the characteristic vector corresponding to the maximum characteristic value, a step where the dimensions of the document matrix D are decreased by using the matrix V having the dimensions decreased, and a step where documents in the database are retrieved and/or ranked by calculating the internal product of the document matrix D having the dimensions decreased and a query vector.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rearrange a set of specific documents in various orders by performing operation between document sets of high order as sorting results and regarding as a retrieval result a document placed in high order through the operation. SOLUTION: A retrieval request input means 309 receives the instruction of an object to be retrieved from a user and finds a set of data and documents complying with a retrieval request for the object to be retrieved by a retrieval request processing means 310 by using indexes 306. The found retrieval result 314 is accepted as to the order of rearrangement of respective elements by an order selection part 311, and an element selection part 312 finds such different sequencing that a specific element is in the highest order from the retrieval result rearranged in the order. From sequences specified by a sequence composition part 313, a new sequence is composed by their sum and product, and a retrieval result display means 316 sequentially displays the elements of the documents sequenced to the highest order of the retrieval result in the composite order.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information visualizing system and method, its program, a recording medium for recording the program and an information retrieving service system. SOLUTION: In this information visualizing system for visualizing and displaying the predetermined information held as the digitalized matrix in the database, the system includes a means for performing the singular value decomposition to the matrix to produce a singular vector, a means for reducing dimensions of the matrix on the basis of the singular vector, a means for giving the selection vector for selecting the specific information, and a means for reducing the dimension of the selected vector on the basis of the singular vector, and selecting the predetermined number of elements of the selected vector on which the dimension is reduced in descending order from larger one.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for detecting, retrieving and identifying a main cluster and an outlier cluster in a large scale database, and to provide a recording medium and a server. SOLUTION: This method includes a step for generating a document matrix from a preceding document by using at least one attribute, a step for generating a residual matrix scaled on the basis of the document matrix from a prescribed function, a step for performing singular value decomposition to obtain a base vector corresponding to a maximum singular value, a step for reconstructing the residual matrix, dynamically scaling the reconstructed residual matrix and obtaining another base vector, a step for repeating from the singular value decomposition step to the reconstruction step to generate a set of prescribed base vectors, and a step for performing dimensional reduction of the document matrix and detecting, retrieving and identifying a document in a database.
