Abstract: A document card positioning mechanism for accurately locating a moving document card at a predetermined station in its path of movement including a card stop movable into engagement with a stationary plate defining one boundary of the path of card movement with the stop having a slanted surface on which the leading edge of the card abuts, and a pivoted wedge element movable out of the path of card movement by the card as it passes along said path toward said stop and movable back into the path of card travel so as to wedge against the trailing edge of the card and hold it forcefully in engagement with the slanted stop surface.

Abstract: The magazine particularly for magnetic diskettes, includes nearly square side panels, and oblong top and back panels and a bottom connecting the side panels leaving one end of the magazine open for withdrawal of diskettes stored therein. The inside surfaces of the top panel and bottom have corresponding grooves formed in them for reception of the diskettes in vertical disposition. The grooves in the bottom are narrower than the grooves in the top to provide accurate positioning of the diskettes at their bottoms while allowing a little warp of the diskettes about vertical axes. The inside surface of the back panel is plane and unribbed to accommodate sight diskette warp about horizontal axes.

Abstract: MAGAZINE-LID COMBINATION FOR JACKETED MAGNETIC DISKS A magazine particularly for jacketed magnetic disks (which may be termed "diskettes") of the type disclosed in U. S. Patent 3,668,658 of Flores et al., issued June 6, 1972, and a lid fitting on a forward, sometimes open, end of the magazine. The lid has internal ribs for supporting weak side edges of the diskettes in the magazine particularly when the magazine is turned on its side, and the magazine has aligned internal bottom and top diskette supporting ribs. A swing connection is provided between the lid and the magazine adjacent the top of the magazine including L-shaped slots formed in side panels of the magazine extending from the forward edges thereof horizontally and then upwardly and a pair of pins carried by the lid and fitting in the L-shaped slots. The lid when placed on the magazine thus first moves horizontally but slanting forwardly and downwardly to first move the upper ends of its internal ribs between the diskettes and then upwardly and in swinging movement to close the magazine. The upper edge of the lid is chamfered to allow such swinging placement of the lid on the magazine. A U-shaped spring retainer releasably holds the lid closed.
