Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speedily and efficiently update the style of the GUI of a legacy application. SOLUTION: As system comprises a plurality of display grids, and each display grid maps a section in the legacy application with a GUI element selected from a style-updated GUI. The system also comprises a plurality of smart masters, and each master specifies contents in the style-updated GUI and the configuration of presentation elements. The system also comprises a GUI converting template generator for generating a GUI converting template from the combination of the display grids with the smart masters. The system comprises a GUI style updating service, selects a matched template from the generated GUI converting templates, and converts, according to a conversion instruction included in each template, contents in the section of the legacy application into the style updated GUI by using the mapped GUI elements.
