Abstract: The vector generator includes apparatus for setting up the generator and computes values representative of difference functions between Delta Y values and Delta X values for a vector to be drawn. The computer values are stored and a sign for each of the difference functions is stored for controlling XY swap and multiplex operations. A swap unit swaps X values and Y values in response to the store sign to present a larger of an X function or a Y function to a controller for controlling a number of iterations in generation of a vector. An iteration counter controls a number of iterations in generation of a vector.
