    Abstract: A method (100) for carrying out a predictive analysis is provided which generates a predictive model (Padj (Y | X)) based on two separate pieces of information, namely - a set of original training data (Dorig), and - a "true" distribution of indicators (Ptrue(X)). The method (100) begins by generating a base model distribution (Pgen(Y | X)) from the original training data set (Dorig) containing tuples (x, y) of indicators (x) and corresponding labels (y) (step 120). Using the "true" distribution (Ptrue(X)) of indicators, a random data set (D') of indicator records (x) is generated reflecting this "true" distribution (Ptrue(X)) (step 140). Subsequently, the base model (Pgen(Y | X)) is applied to said random data set (D'), thus assigning a label (y) or a distribution of labels to each indicator record (x) in said random data set (D') and generating an adjusted training set (Dadj) (step 150). Finally, an adjusted predictive model (Padj (Y | X)) is trained based on said adjusted training set (Dadj) (step 160).

    Abstract: A method and system for registration, authorization, and control of access r ights in a computer system are disclosed in the present invention. The inventive method forcontrolling access rights of subjects on objects in a computer system uses parameterized role types that can be instantiated into role instances equivalent to roles or groups as known from the prior art. The required parameters are provided by the subjec t of the computer system, e.g. by a person, a job position or an organization unit. F urthermore, the inventive method provides relative resource sets which are instantiated into concrete resource sets and individual resources by using the same parameter values as forinstantiating the role types. The inventive system f or authorization and control of access rights as disclosed in the present invention comprises capability lists prov iding the access rights of the subjects on the objects of a computer system on a per subject basis.     Abstract: A computer data structure for compressing data comprised in a set of transactions, each transaction having at least one item, contains a list of identifiers of different items in the set of transactions, information indicating number of identifiers in the list, and bit field information indicating presence of the different items in the set of transactions. The bit field information is organized in accordance with the list for facilitating evaluation of patterns with respect to the set of transactions. When compressing data comprised in a plurality of transactions, a unique identifier is assigned to each different item and, if taxonomy is defined, to each different taxonomy parent. Sets of transactions are formed and then stored using the defined computer data structures. When detecting patterns in input data, a candidate pattern is evaluated using bit map operations on the bit field information of the computer data structures.
