Abstract: The method involves simultaneously initiating counters (42,44) for counting the cycles of clock pulses whose phase is compared. Delta value indicating the current count of one of the counter is provided at the end of a specific counting period. Synchronization between both the clock pulses is determined at the end of the counting period.
