Abstract: A method for diagnosing graphics display problems during running of an application comprises: selecting a frame of the application drawn by a graphics processing unit; instructing 103 a central processing unit to draw the frame; and comparing 104 the graphics processing unit drawn frame and the central processing unit drawn frame to determine if there is a graphics problem. A graphics problem may be indicated if the frames do not match. The method may provide technical feedback whilst playing a personal computer game.
