Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor which eliminates a problem of unavailability of determination of which of Japanese, Chinese and Korean is described in a document on the basis of a character code when a web document, etc., is retrieved in a network and which does not require separately prepare a function of suitably identifying a language, and to provide a method for controlling, a program, a data recording medium and a program recording medium thereof.
SOLUTION: The information processor identifies a plurality of characters according to character codes corresponding to the characters. The character codes each includes an attribute information for identifying at least one of reading of the character, radical or attribute information corresponding to the character code as character specific information necessary to identify the character according to the character code. The information processor is an information processor 10 having an character information input unit for inputting document information including a plurality of characters, and a character rearranging unit for rearranging a plurality of character strings included in the document information based on the attribute information included in the character code of each character included in the plurality of the character strings. The character strings are suitably processed by such an apparatus.
