Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, a system and a device for diagnosis and self-healing of a server failure in a server farm.
SOLUTION: An autonomic server farm 120 can include a plurality of servers 150 enabled to respond to requests received from clients 110 outside the server farm 120. A resource director such as an IP sprayer or a network dispatcher 140 may be configured so that a request is transmitted to a selected server according to resource allocation algorithm such as random, round robin and the minimum use frequency. Furthermore, client assistance management for failure diagnosis and the self-healing can be provided by connecting a client assistance failure detection logic with a resource director unlike the conventional server farm in which management of failure diagnosis and the self-healing depends only on the capability of a resource director.
