Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock measuring apparatus by which a shock value can be measured precisely without changing the system of a notebook-type personal computer. SOLUTION: The shock measuring apparatus 1 measures a shock to which the notebook-type M comprising a media bay equipped with a hard disk drive is subjected. The apparatus 1 is provided with a shock measuring circuit 2 which comprises an acceleration pickup 11 used to sense an acceleration as the shock and an HDD-compatible power-supply connector 8. The apparatus 1 has a size which agrees with the form factor of the hard disk drive.
