Abstract: The control method uses a control programme for control of the input/output device, e.g. a scanner or camera, via the data interfaces provided in the control programme. The input/output device may be started by a data open/read function, with a scanner data management function converting the data from the scanner before it is fed into the programme.

Abstract: Method for monitoring the operation of a device, operated by an operator, has the following steps: determination of a unique identifier for a given operator; determination of a unique identifier for the operated device; determination of a start time for operation of the device; during operation of the device, recording of monitoring information and; storage of the recorded information. An Independent claim is made for a system for implementing the method comprising a chip card read-write device with a chip card identifying each operator and a chip card associated with each device. A chip card read-write device is associated with each operated device. Independent claims are also made for a computer system with a data management system and a computer program for implementation of the computer system
