Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the user interface of a variable width window bar to a computer display system. SOLUTION: This improved graphical user interface for a computer system having a display screen is provided with a window bar area started from one edge of the display screen and extended toward the center of the display screen. In this case, window bars are continuously arranged so that the plural window bars can be displayed in the window bar area. Each window bar includes at least one graphic object. The interface includes a selection logic to be controlled by a user so that the number of the window bars to be simultaneously displayed in the window bar area can be controlled.
