Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible for users to see a visible screen of portable computers in automobiles and to apply other way of use (for example, to use a pen) by making the screen rotatablely moved in at least three different faces. SOLUTION: A docking station has a means to heat up a portable computer when the computer is arranged on a holder section 42' thereof. This heated holder section effectively solves problems required for keeping the portable computer in the temperature suitable for its operation even in a cold environment. A computer assembly for automobiles can also be provided.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a docking station which can be set on a position not to disturb control of a vehicle and arrangement of an air bag, is rotatable, and is to support a computer, and a means to keep a computer in low temperature enviromnent at a prescribed temperature. SOLUTION: This portable computer holder 26 is attached in an adjustable condition to a base part 14 which can be set on the floor of a vehicle, and equipped with, means 64 and 66 to heat a portable computer set on a holder 26. Thereby, a problem to keep a portable computer under an operable temperature is effectively solved by the heated holder 26. The holder 26 has a keyboard support part 24 and a screen support part 42 and is formed with a prescribed heat conductive material. The holder 26 is made movable between prescribed positions radially placed separate on a support 16 by a holder retaining means 28.
