    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adequately manage logical address-physical address conversion information even in a small-capacity work memory by providing an access control means, a data access means for accessing a data storage part according to an obtained physical sector address, etc. SOLUTION: A microprocessor 10 is a central controller for controlling the whole operation of a device 100 and operates according to program codes stored in a specific area of an internal ROM or flash memory 50. For example, when a host computer sends an access request to the device 100, the microprocessor 10 acquires the contents of commands and the logical address of an access destination by reading the contents of respective registers in an interface circuit 20 and also acquires a physical address according to logical address-physical address conversion information in a work memory 40 to gain physical access to the flash memory 50.
