    Abstract: A method for selecting VR content according to available bandwidth comprising: receiving positional metadata from a VR device, receiving time-indexed bandwidth availability information for said location, receiving a plurality of VR content bandwidth thresholds, receiving a request for VR content at a future time, and selecting VR content having a threshold below the available bandwidth at the location at the future time. The selection may be made according to a preference value comprising one of a specific user request, commercial value, popularity, or time of last visit. The process may be repeated for multiple further locations and times. The metadata may comprise speed, direction, or velocity. When the bandwidth drops below the threshold a corrective action may be taken such as selecting content with a reduced threshold or guiding the user to arrive at the location at a different time. The content may be substituted with promotional material during periods of reduced bandwidth.
