Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for improving the reliability and the availability of services in general for streaming distribution. SOLUTION: A stream data distribution method uses a distribution server for receiving stream data and a plurality of delivery servers for receiving each element of the stream data distributed from the distribution server and delivering each element to one or more receivers in the case of distributing the stream data to the one or more receivers connected by a network, the method comprises: a step where the distribution server selects some of transmissible delivery servers and transmits each element of the stream data received from a streaming source; a step where the delivery servers deliver the elements of the stream data received from the distribution server to the receivers; and a step where each receiver reconfigures the original stream data on the basis of the elements of the stream data received from the plurality of delivery servers. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital watermark embedding/detecting method and system not demanding a signal for geometric correction. SOLUTION: A periodic pattern having repetition is used for an embedding pattern itself having information for embedding as digital watermarking, and a change in the period is observed at the time of detection, thereby calculating an enlargement and reduction rate. At the time of detection of digital watermarking, the enlargement and reduction rate of a screen image is acquired from digital data which is performed an enlargement and reduction, and next a detection processing of the digital watermarking is carried out based on the obtained enlargement and reduction rate.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to identify the source of the genetic information in a DNA having the specified information by embedding the information into the base sequence of a DNA. SOLUTION: This method comprises the steps of associating a base sequence having a pattern usually not appeared in DNA to the identification information for identifying the source of the specific genetic information which the DNA has, and embedding the base sequence associated to the identification information into the DNA so as not to affect the genetic information of the DNA.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize the availability of a storage device without interrupting the processing of an operating system. SOLUTION: A cache system for caching data in a storage device managed by the operating system in an information processor is provided with a storage instruction means for storing cache data to be cached in an unused area of the storage device which is not used for the operating system, a storing position management means for managing the storing position of the cache data stored by the storage instruction means, an error decision means for acquiring the cache data from the storing position managed by the storing position management means and deciding whether the acquired cache data are broken due to the use of the storing position by the operating system or not, and an output means for outputting the cache data at the time of deciding that the cache data are not broken. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable all clients connected to a local network to share the same digital contents only by transmitting irreducibly minimum packets which reconfigure digital contents, from a server. SOLUTION: The digital contents distribution system 10 comprises clients 20 which configure second networks 22, 28 connected to a first network 12, for receiving and provisioning digital contents. A server 14 includes a client list for storing address identification values of the clients 20 taking part in the second network 28 configured as a collision domain, and a means for selecting at random a client identification value registered on the client list, and transmits packets of a minimum unit for constituting digital contents to a selected client 20 in response to the selection.
