Abstract:
Systems and methods for monitoring high-speed network traffic via sequentially multiplexed data streams. Exemplary embodiments include a switch module system, including a first switch module configured to be coupled to a first server chassis, a first data port disposed on the first switch module and a set of first port data links configured to be coupled to a set of data port data links, each data link configurable to channel at least one of a normal data stream and a monitored data stream.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost of an inexpensive or expensive system by using the same input/output data compression module. SOLUTION: A master data compression module 10 has non-compression data input/output terminals, data compressor/expander, a data flow manager and compressed data input/output terminals. Furthermore, the system has a dual data compression module 11 of the same configuration as that of the module 10. Tandem control of this system instructs the master data flow manager to control compressed data input/output and instructs a dual data flow manager to give up the control. Dual port active/slave control in response to reception of an input at either of non-compression data input/output terminals sets non- compensation data input/output terminals of a module not receiving the input in an idle state and instructs a module receiving an input on input/output of non-compression data. Then a module in a slave state expands input data going to be compressed and a data comparator detects propriety of master data compression.
