Abstract: The system includes at least one application object associated with an application program. Scripting engines integrate a scripting language in the system. A scripting engine manager registers the application objects and scripting engines. An interface is provided for each scripting engine to enable interaction between each scripting engine and the object-oriented programming language. An Independent claim is included for a method of including language-independent scripting in applications of object-oriented programming languages and applets.
