    Abstract: COMPONENT MOUNTING APPARATUS USEFUL FOR COMPACT COPIERS Electrical components in an elongated array are suspended within the interior of a sleeve type closed loop member such as a rotatable photoconductor drum or closed loop belt of a compact copier. Preferably some of the components are mounted on a board and held within the sleeve by edge slots or the like in sleeve mounting end caps, attached to the machine frame. A drive motor can be attached as part of the array and further can be arranged to drive a fan blade so that cooling air is forced through the sleeve and over the components so that the sleeve acts as a plenum. Power can be coupled from the drive motor through the end mounts to motivate the sleeve in the direction of its closed loop and/or apply power to other components of the copier. B0977072

    Abstract: BO978044 COPIER AND RECIRCULATING DOCUMENT FEEDER A moving-document copier wherein a loop-shaped path is used to recirculate a document once for each requested copy, the recirculation path having a skewed turn-around guide which intentionally skews the document's leading edge during recirculation, to avoid document jams. The document is subsequently realigned for rescanning to make another copy. A copyrequest counter operates to pivot the skewed turnaround guide to a document-intercept position so long as more copies are needed. When all requested copies have been imaged, the document is allowed to proceed to an exit tray.

    Abstract: BO985010 IMAGE PRODUCTION DEVICE VACUUM CLEANER An electrophotographic reproduction device includes an air blower having a vacuum pressure inlet and a positive pressure outlet. The inlet and/or outlet is connected to provide blower induced airflow at device stations, such as a sheet detack station, that require blower induced airflow for proper operation thereof. The duct or conduit that connects to the blower inlet may be attached to a flexible vacuum cleaner hose by service personnel. The vacuum cleaner hose is then manually usable to clean the interior of the device of the buildup of toner, paper dust and debris, as the device is periodically serviced.
