Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for measuring quantities relating to a person's cardiac activity, such as for example quantities proportional to heart rate, cardiac stroke volume and cardiac output. A person is positioned on a measuring support (S), so that a blood flow pulse caused by a stroke of heart is matched by a change in a person's weight (G). Said change of weight is recorded and the recorded changes of weight are used for deriving information about a person's cardiac activity, such as for example about stroke volume and cardiac output as well as heart rate.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an arrangement for detection of ambient conditions and changes therein including one or several transducer means (TC), one or several detection unit (DU). The detection unit (DU) includes means for transmitting energy and the transducer means includes means for receiving the energy transmitted by the detection unit (DU) and means to transmit energy in such a manner that the energy transmitted by the transducer means is affected by one or several physical or chemical quantity of the ambiance.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for cleaning, such as a vacuum cleaner, which includes means for ionization (IG, IP) for ionization of the air flow for cleaning before it contacts with the surface to be cleaned (SC). Furthermore the device may include another means for ionization (IOG) for ionization of air to be exhausted (AF). Furthermore the device may include third means for ionization, for ionization of air to be exhausted with negative ions.
Abstract:
A device for radio communication (PH), such as for example radiophone, which includes a shielding layer (RFS) which under operating conditions is between the antenna means and the user. Said shielding layer (RFS) reduces electromagnetical irradiation of the user. Said shielding layer (RFS) may be movable in such a manner that it serves as a cover of some operational means such as for example headphone, display and keyboard of apparatus when it is not in using position.
Abstract:
The invention concerns an apparatus for registration of the human blood pressure and other quantities belonging to the blood circulation system. The apparatus contains a bracelet (WB) having first cuff means (MA) to load the wrist artery and means (PA) for registration of pressure variations (MPP) and pressure (MP) in the first cuff means (MA). The apparatus contains also second cuff means (MB) to load the wrist in an area beside the first cuff means. The apparatus may also contain a wrist unit (WU) with electrode means (RE, BPE) to registrate an EKG-signal, means (CPU) for analysing the registrated signals and a display (DD) for indicating the results.
Abstract:
The invention relates to measurement device for measurement of oxygen concentration in gas mixtures. The operation principle of the device is based on exploitation of paramagnetic properties of oxygen. The measurement chamber of the device and a magnetized object are arranged to be movable in respect to each other. Variable magnetic field generates pressure variations in sample gas and reference gas conduits connected to measurement chamber, said pressure variations are detected for example with a microphone.
