The present invention relates to a cooking top (1), in particular adapted to be used in a household environment, comprising a cover (8) adapted to contain at least one gas burner, and supporting means (20A-20D) for cooking containers, wherein the supporting means (20A-20D) substantially form a single body together with the cover (8) of the cooking top (1). If the cover (8) is made of metal sheet, the supporting means (20A-20D) are advantageously made by suitably shaping said metal sheet, in particular by drawing said metal sheet.

The control means (7, 21) are suitable for driving the reversible dynamoelectric machine (5) to generate a driving torque, with the aim of bringing the rotatable member (3) to acquire and/or maintain substantially determined rotational speeds. The control means (7, 21) are further configured for driving the reversible dynamoelectric machine (5) with the aim of performing, during the treatment cycle, steps for controlled braking of the rotation of the rotatable member (3), where during the controlled braking steps, the reversible dynamoelectric machine (5) generates electric energy.
