    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an analog front end which is used in a receiver for communication unit and can control a precise driving level. SOLUTION: An analog front end includes plural analog constitution elements (1 to 3) connected to the up stream of an analog/digital converter (4). For precisely controlling the driving levels of the individual analog constitution elements (1 to 3), the input of the analog/digital converter 4 can optionally be connected to one of the analog constitution elements (1 to 3) through a switch (8). Driving level control signals for the analog constitution elements (1 to 3) are generated by evaluating a sample value supplied by the analog/digital converter (4).
