Abstract:
A method for securing data transmitted over a network to an image display device. In one embodiment, the method may include identifying at least one image display device for transmission of data, activating a data protection process to generate locked data and transmitting the locked data to the image display device. The method may further include receiving a key to unlock the locked data such that the data is available to the image display device.
Abstract:
In a computing device, a method of updating over a network a set of executable instructions stored on an image-rendering device is disclosed, wherein the image-rendering device is operably associated with a projection device. The method includes detecting a version of the set of executable instructions on the image-rendering device, and sending an updated set of the executable instructions to the image-rendering device over the network.
Abstract:
In an image display device configured to be connected to a network, a method of communicating over the network with a remote device on the network is disclosed. The method includes receiving a message sent to a multicast address on the network by the remote device, wherein the message includes an instruction to the image display device to perform a function; and performing the function instructed by the message.
Abstract:
A method for interfacing a device to a projector is disclosed, wherein the method includes identifying a network to which the device is connected, identifying at least one projector on said network, identifying status of said at least one projector, enabling selection of said at least one projector based on said identified status, and transmitting data to said at least one projector depending on whether it is selected.
Abstract:
In an image display device, a method of communicating over a network an invitation to use the image display device to at least one image source connected to the network is provided. The method may include forming an invitation message, wherein the invitation message contains an invitation for an image source to connect to the image display device to use a service on the image display device, and sending the invitation message to a multicasting address on the network.
Abstract:
A system (30) and methods for managing a plurality of projector devices (12, 16) over a computer network are provided. The system includes a projector manager (32) linked to a computer network, wherein the projector manager is configured to monitor over the network a status of a selected feature of a selected projector device (12, 16), and to change the status of the selected feature when requested. The system (30) also includes a projector manager controller (34) linked to the computer network, wherein the projector manager controller (34) is configured to request the projector manager (32) to perform at least one of the functions of reporting the status of the selected feature and requesting the selected projector device to change the status of the selected feature.

Abstract:
A method for securing data transmitted over a network to an image display device. In one embodiment, the method may include identifying at least one image display device on the network, selecting the at least one image display device for transmission of data, activating a data protection process to generate locked data (610) and transmitting the locked data to the image display device (612). The method may further include receiving a key to unlock data (620) such that the data is available to the image display device (608).
Abstract:
In an image display device configured to be connected to a network, a method of communicating (100) over the network with a remote device on the network is disclosed. The method includes receiving a message (108) sent to a multicast address on the network by the remote device (134), wherein the message includes an instruction to the image display device to perform a function; and performing the function instructed by the message.
