    Abstract: Debarking apparatus comprising a rotatably driven drum and an anvil inside of the drum circumferentially surrounded by the latter and operatively associated therewith for restricting log movement with the drum during the drum rotation. The drum carries debarking tool means in the form of a plurality of individual, blunt, debarking tool elements which are shown as arcuately contoured on all working sides, said debarking tool elements being arranged in sets extending at least generally circumferentially of the drum at locations spaced longitudinally thereof; and adjacent ones of such sets of tool elements are eccentric to one another and in circumferentially stepped relationship.

    Abstract: A pressurized screening apparatus removes both bouyant contaminants and denser contaminants from a liquid suspension containing desirable fibers and contaminants.     Abstract: 1430872 Filters CANADIAN INGERSOLL-RAND CO LTD 15 May 1973 [30 May 1972] 23065/73 Heading B1D A filter having a plurality of annularly spaced walls of circular cross-section, one being a screen, is provided with means for causing one of the walls to perform orbital movement and means for preventing said one wall from rotating during its orbital movement. In the embodiment shown screen 46 is orbitally moved when shaft 78 is rotated, the screen being connected to shaft portion 94 which is eccentric with respect to the rest of the shaft, through member 114 and bearings 96. The seals 116 prevent rotation of screen 46. In use the suspension to be filtered is filtered by spaced rods 20 in inlet 16 and tangentially fed to annular chamber 18 in which more material is centrifugally separated and discharged through outlet 40. The suspension is fed to annular passage 54. The accepts fraction from screen 46 is discharged through outlet 42, and the rejects fraction, through outlet 44. The lower end of screen 46 is provided with perforated helical plates 58 which aid the movement of material along screen 46. Dilution liquid is supplied from annular chamber 64. In other embodiments, the gutter 18 includes screening means; the wall 52 or 68 is orbitally movable; the screen 46 and wall 68 are frusto-conical; the wall 68 is perforated; and the liquid flow through the screen 46 is outwards.
