Abstract: A spacer (70) of a desired thickness sets the clearance between an end face (20) of a fluid displacement device rotor and an end plate (24) of a fluid displacement device housing. Initially the spacer (70) is located on either the end face (20) or the end plate (24). The end face (20) is then positioned adjacent said end plate (24). Next, the rotor is axially displaced relative to the housing to a desired position wherein the spacer (70) is in contact with both the end face (20) and the end plate (24). Finally, the rotor is secured in said desired position.

Abstract: Une pièce d'écartement (70) d'une épaisseur voulue détermine l'écartement entre une face terminale (20) d'un rotor de dispositif hydraulique et une plaque terminale (24) d'un logement de dispositif hydraulique. Initiallement la pièce d'écartement (70) est placée soit sur la face terminale (20) soit sur la plaque terminale (24). Ensuite on positionne la face terminale (20) à proximité de ladite plaque terminale (24). On déplace alors axialement le rotor par rapport au logement jusque dans la position voulue dans laquelle la pièce d'écartement (70) est en contact à la fois avec la face terminale (20) et avec la plaque terminale (24). Enfin, on fixe le rotor dans ladite position voulue.
