Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the method for authenticating a terminal in a radio communication service. SOLUTION: This method includes a step, where a registration request is received from a terminal requesting an access, a step where a signaling channel assignment signal to definitely assign a duplicate signal channel to each terminal is transmitted to each terminal, a step where an authentication request signal is transmitted through the signaling channel, a step where the authentication request signal is received through the channel, and a step where whether or not the access to the system is permitted is decided according to contents of the authentication reply signal. The contents of the authentication reply signal depend on the contents of the authentication request signal.
