Abstract: A device that assists with movement of limbs of a person having a disability comprises a hip support device that supports a hip of the person, a position adjustment device, lower leg support devices that support lower legs of the person, a pair of foot supports configured to support the feet of the person and a motorized foot support movement device. The position adjustment device is coupled to the hip support device to selectively adjust a position of the hip support device to support the person in a seated and in a standing position. The motorized foot support movement device is coupled to the foot supports to move the feet of the person in a walking movement when the person is in the standing position.

Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus for training the disabled and motionally handicapped persons with different types of walking movements (n atural walking, ski walking, stair walking, etc.). Preferably the device, ac cording to the invention, will provide a movement with an approximated natur al walking, stair walking or skiing movement with a motorised device. Such r elevant movements can also be provided with a device according to the invent ion which is adapted for muscular controlled exercise for walking movement. The apparatus also comprises a seating device, such as a chair for straighte ning up the back of diabled persons from a seated position to a standing pos ition.
