Abstract:
Provided is a permanent seafloor seismic recording system utilizing Micro Electro-Mechanical Systems seismic sensors. The system includes and expandable backbone, multiple hubs and sensor lines. The sensor lines include multiple sensor modules that include 3-C accelerometers and a hydrophone for providing a 4-C sensor module output signal.
Abstract:
A seismic ocean bottom cable array (16) is provided for use in subsurface exploration. The array (16) includes receiver stations (26) for measuring seismic signals, and a cable(24) including conductors for data transmission and an externally attached stress member (18). The array (16) is assembled during deployment by attaching the data transmission cables (24) and receiver stations (26) to the stress member (18) as it is lowered into the water.
Abstract:
The invention includes a permanent seafloor seismic recording system (100) using SEMS seismic sensors (106). Further included are backbone (112), multiple hubs (110) and sensor lines (108). The sensor lines include multiple sensor modules (106.
