Abstract: Methodologies are presented that provide better uplink and downlink data throughput for cell-edge stations (CE STAs) in wireless networks. In downlink, two or more access points (AP) can work in concert to code a signal such that each AP sends a portion of the data during concurrent transmissions. To further enhance the data throughput of a CE STA, each link between the CE STA and one of the APs can have different characteristics or parameters, for example, a different modulation and coding scheme (MCS). The different characteristics or parameters are communicated to the CE STA through one of various signals sent to the CE STA to allow the CE STA to receive the portions of data over the differently configured links.

Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to neighbor awareness networking (NAN) operations in the 6 GHz frequency band. A NAN device may generate a first NAN frame including a first indication of a NAN operation capability, and a second indication of a transmit power of the NAN device. The NAN device may send the first NAN frame and may identify a second NAN frame received from a second NAN device, the second NAN frame including a third indication of the NAN operation capability, and a fourth indication of a transmit power of the second NAN device. The NAN device may determine, based on the transmit power of the NAN device and the transmit power of the second NAN device, an operation parameter for the 6 GHz frequency band. The NAN device may establish, based on the operation parameter, a NAN connection using the 6 GHz frequency band.

A device may identify, using an 802.3 protocol stack, an 802.3 frame received from a second device using a wired Ethernet connection, and extract, using the 802.3 protocol stack, a redundancy tag from the 802.3 frame, the redundancy tag including a sequence number. The device may generate, using an 802.11 protocol stack, an 802.11 frame with a subnetwork access protocol (SNAP) field, the SNAP field including an organizationally unique identifier (OUI) and the sequence number, the OUI including an indication of an Ethertype protocol. The device may send the 802.11 frame using a wireless connection.

A device may identify a first non-collocated access point (AP) and a second non-collocated AP associated with a non-collocated AP multi-link device (MLD). The device may determine traffic identifier (TID)-to-link mapping for the first non-collocated AP and second non-collocated AP. The device may include the TID-to-link mapping element in beacon or probe response frames transmitted by each of the first non-collocated AP and second non-collocated AP. The device may update the TID-to-link mapping element in response to changes in status of either the first non-collocated AP or the second non-collocated AP. The device may transmit the updated TID-to-link mapping element to other APs affiliated with the non-collocated AP MLD.

A device may receive a control frame from a station (STA) at a beginning of a transmission opportunity (TxOP) that includes availability and unavailability information. A device may receive, from a station (STA), a negotiation request that identifies a service period and one or more transmission and reception (Tx/Rx) parameters to be updated during the service period.
