Abstract: A user equipment (UE) configured for multi-antenna communication estimates at least one of a rank indicator and a channel quality indicator for device to device (D2D) based on communication data associated with a plurality of packets communicated using D2D communication and without using a dedicated reference signal for D2D communication. The UE may be configured as at least one of a transmitter (Tx) and a receiver (Rx) for vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication through a sidelink channel.

Abstract: Embodiments of a User Equipment (UE) and methods of communication are generally described herein. The UE may encode, for a sidelink transmission to another UE in frequency resources allocated for sidelink operation, a physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH) or a physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH). The UE may: generate demodulation reference signals (DM-RSs) for the PSCCH or PSSCH; generate an initialization value based on one or more parameters, wherein at least one of the parameters depends on location information of the UE; generate a pseudo-random sequence based on a pseudo-random sequence generator that uses the initialization value; generate a DM-RS sequence based on the pseudo-random sequence; and map at least a portion of the DM-RS sequence to a plurality of resource elements (REs) of the frequency resources allocated for sidelink operation.

Abstract: Systems, devices, and techniques for V2X communications using multiple radio access technologies (RATs) are described herein. A communication associated with one or more of the multiple RATs may be received at a device. The device may include a transceiver interface with multiple connections to communicate with multiple transceiver chains. The multiple transceiver chains can be configured to support multiple RATs. Additionally, the multiple transceiver chains may be controlled via the multiple connections of the transceiver interface to coordinate the multiple RATs to complete the communication.
