Abstract: Devices, methods, user equipment (UE), base stations, storage media, and other embodiments are provided for a dynamic random access channel (RACH). In one embodiment, an apparatus includes a memory configured to store a configuration communication from a base station, the configuration communication comprising a dynamic dedicated random access channel (RACH) configuration (RACH-ConfigDedicated) information element, the RACH-ConfigDedicated information element comprising a plurality of dedicated random access parameters. Processing circuitry coupled to the memory is then configured to decode the configuration communication from the base station to identify the plurality of dedicated random access parameters and set up a RACH procedure for connection to the base station using the plurality of dedicated random access parameters. In various embodiments, different communications may be used for the dedicated random access parameters which are used in the RACH procedure.

QUASI CO-LOCATION (QCL) FOR ANTENNA PORTS IN NEW RADIO (NR)

Abstract: Technology for a user equipment (UE) operable for quasi-co-location (QCL) is disclosed. The UE can demodulate a synchronization signal (SS) block transmitted by a gNB from a first antenna port, wherein one or more of a Doppler shift, a Doppler spread, an average delay, a delay spread, and spatial receiving parameters are derived from the SS block. The UE can decode a QCL indication that provides an assumption of QCL between a first reference signal of the first antenna port and a second reference signal of a second antenna port. The UE can demodulate the physical channel or the reference signal transmitted by the gNB from the second antenna port, using one or more of the Doppler shift, the Doppler spread, the average delay, the delay spread, and the spatial receiving parameters based on the assumption of QCL.

Abstract: Embodiments herein may relate to transmission, in a first physical channel transmission, of an indication of a first set of parameters related to a control channel; and transmission, in a control channel transmission using the first set of parameters, of an indication of a second set of parameters related to the control channel. Further embodiments may relate to identifying a first parameter related to interleaving REGBs of a PDCCH transmission, wherein the first parameter is selected from a first plurality of parameters; interleaving the REGBs based on the first parameter to form a CCE; and transmitting the CCE in the PDCCH transmission. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.
